The Segond 21 (S21)

Thanks to the Segond 21, there is no need anymore to choose between easy comprehension and fidelity! The Segond 21 is a translation of the Bible, published the first time in 2007, and a fruit of 12 years of work on the Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek texts. Its goal? Offer a formulation in French faithfull to the original text, and still in a fluid up-to-date language. It's slogan «L’original, avec les mots d’aujourd’hui» (The original in today's words) expresses this ambition.

The Nouvelle Edition de Genève (NEG)

Louis Segond, a Pastor and Doctor in Theology born in 1810 from French parents in Geneva, translated the Old Testament, and later the New Testament. The complete version of the Bible, translated according to the principle of formal equivalence, was published the first time in 1880. This text was modernized through linguistic and stylistic adjustments. It was published in 1975 with the commentaries of C.I. Scofield, then in 1979 under the name Nouvelle Edition de Genève.

Our Bibles in German

Schlachter translation

The Schlachter Bible was the first German translation of the twentieth century and was published first in 1905. The Bible of Franz Eugen Schlachter was revised in 1951 by the Geneva Bible Society. Its characteristics are a fluid language and a great fidelity to the Hebrew and Greek texts. A new revision of the whole Bible on the base of the original texts of the Reformation was finished in 2002.

Neue Genfer Übersetzung (NGÜ)

The Neue Genfer Übersetzung is a completely new translation of the Bible, characterised through is clear language, its modern form and fidelity to the original text, expressed by its slogan «verständlich, zeitgemäß, zuverlässig» (comprehesible, contemporary, trustworthy). It offers an contemporary language and an explanation of the meaning of the original texts, without renouncing the truthfulness and fidelity to the meaning and without paraphrases. The translation of the New Testament and the Psalms was accomplished in 2009 and 2010.

Nuova Riveduta 1994

The Nuova Riveduta is the achievement of an intense work of research, confrontation with the Hebrew and Greek texts and a linguistic actualization based on the Riveduto of 1924. It integrates in the lineage of the text translated by Giovanni Diodati in 1607 in Geneva, while dinguishing itself through an contemporary language and through the revision based on the Hebrew and Greek manuscripts that were not available at the timo of Diodati.

Nuova Riveduta 2006

An accurate and modern translation

The version Nuova Riveduta 2006 is a revision of the previous edition of 1994. In addition to a formal revision, this new Edition of the Nuova Riveduta gives the user the possibility to verifiy how many, which an what type of textual variants are present in the New Testament

Our Bibles in Futunian

The Bible is the first book published in this language, and therefore the first Bible translation for the islands of Wallis and Futuna in the French speaking part of the Pacific ocean. The translation was accomplished by the prince Seppeli Tuikalepa and published in 2001.
